GOLD BARS come in a variety of forms, sizes and weights. Private investors can buy bars in sizes up to 1 kg. The advantages with larger bars - also compared to coins - is the smaller premium, that has to be paid above the current spot price.

GOLD BARS are classified into two different types, based on their method of manufacturing: MINTED and CAST BARS.
MINTED BARS are made from gold blanks that have been hand cut to the required dimensions from a flat piece of gold. CHIP GOLD is a new form of gold bar consisting of a small ingot in a certified and sealed package the size of a credit card (1 to 20 grams).
CAST BARS are made by pouring molten gold into an ingot mold.
